Our History
For more than 85 years, Bartlett Brainard Products Company has been helping Connecticut homeowners improve and protect their homes with quality craftsmanship and dependable service.
The company’s story began in Hartford, Connecticut, where Emile Yandow was among the first carpenters to join the newly established Bartlett Brainard Products. His dedication to quality workmanship helped build the foundation of the company’s reputation for excellence.
Years later, Emile’s son, Edward Yandow, followed in his father’s footsteps, working his way through the business before purchasing Bartlett Brainard Products in 1981. Under Edward’s leadership, the company continued to grow while maintaining its commitment to superior craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Edward’s daughter, Cathy Davis, joined the family business shortly after her father became owner. After years of hands-on experience and leadership, Cathy assumed ownership and successfully guided Bartlett Brainard Products for more than two decades. Under her leadership, the company became one of Connecticut’s most respected exterior remodeling contractors, known for its integrity, quality workmanship, and commitment to customer service.
Today, Bartlett Brainard Products enters an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Scott A. Miller, P.E., who serves as Owner and President of BBPCo Inc., doing business as Bartlett Brainard Products Company.
With a background in leadership, engineering, operational excellence, and business growth, Scott is committed to preserving the company’s rich heritage while investing in its future. Working alongside a dedicated team of professionals, he continues the tradition of delivering exceptional craftsmanship, outstanding customer service, and dependable results.
From roofing and siding to windows, doors, custom decks, porticos, and porch enclosures, Bartlett Brainard Products remains committed to the principles that have guided the company for generations: quality workmanship, honest communication, and standing behind every project we complete.
More than eight decades after its founding, Bartlett Brainard Products continues to build on a legacy of trust while helping Connecticut homeowners create homes they are proud of.
